Yes, TP 98 is great to use.  Its be more cooler then 97

Always best to update to latest version though tp 0.9.8 and it has a few more tricks up its sleeve
We don't really like given support for the older versions.

I'll keep that in mind.this site used to be phbb ,i recently switched to smf and started tiny portal , which rocks btw..i will prolly do the up grade soon,is it hard to do ? any pointer would be appreciated

No, Just install the new TP 98 on your forum.  YOu dont have to unstall the old tp at all.  Its will upgrade the old one to the new tp

Just make sure you upgrade when the forum is set to use the Default SMF Core theme.

thats the same theme as what you guys use here? it will be a little bit before i do any of that stuff

They aint using Default SMF Core theme. They are using one of Bloc's themes on here.

You just needed to use the Default SMF Core theme
