Hi,

I would like to know which portal  that i have to use for SMF 1.1.5. :(  Just install the SMF 1.1.5, don't really know much.  Please help!

Dragooon

TP 1.0.5 is the latest unstable and TP 0.9.8 is the latest stable, have a search, create a test site, read the docs and play with stuff is the best thing you can do :).

G6Cad

Errr, non of them are really classed as stable releases, they are both betas, but if you want to have a more error free enviroment you use 098 and if you can live with errors in your log, you use 1.0.5

rundown

Oh i sure don't want no error. :o  I will use the 098.  Question where is the step by step instruction? ???

G6Cad

Try our docsection and also the install board have a sticky topic.

Just out of interest, (as there's a few of us that ran into this problem) in the 'Configuration' section under 'Sever Settings' down at the bottom where it says 'Default Forum Language', does yours display 'English Utf8'?  If it does, change it to 'English' from the drop down menu and click 'Save'.

Also make sure that your 'Settings.php' is set to 'chMod 777' wherever you have your SMF files installed on your server, as I have found things don't always load right when installing TP under the packages manager if this hasn't been set first.

...I know they say to stick with 0.98, but in 1.05 there's a few new features that are missing in 0.98, like a shoutbox which is good for me as I don't then have to mess about with other shoutbox mods held elsewhere.

Not quite so, there are a shoutbox in TP V098 to, but not as fancy as the 2 in TP V1.0.5
