Most broadband here in sweden have between 8mbit/sec up to 100mbit (bredbandsbolaget have 100mbit/sec for 249sek/month  ~35$

24mbit is the most common here now after all the price wars between the broadband companies we have here.

When i had my old job and lived in my house, i had a direct fiber with 1000mbit (1gb connection) that was really fast

I dont know if there is a router, i just have an ethernet contact in the wall, just put the cord in and surf. i dont know how things look behind the walls here 
I dont think there is a router though, i have a real ipnumber, and when i had a router before it didnt show me the outgoing IP, i just saw the internal ip given by the router.

Yes actually i am hooked up to fios then i have my laptop and i have a router to use the internet wirelessly. When i have time i will join that website

I was talking to Biianjw G6. I had a nat router I used for a firewall along with Kaspersky and it slowed me down by half--needless to say the router is gone.

I would suggest Brianjw go to that dsl site and look for and download the DrTCP..or get this one--which I use..DRTCP did not save the settings[changes] on my computer

You don't need to join anything to download it and run it--just to see what it says...Just don't change anything until you check with someone.
