Hello everyone!,

Link to my forum: http://www.royalgamingts.com
SMF version: SMF ver. 2.0.9
TP version: TP ver. 1.107
Default Forum Language: English
Theme name and version: Bad Company 3
Browser Name and Version: Firefox
Mods installed: Mods listed here

I'm trying to add a specific forum category to the home page. What I mean is like the announcement forum board. Whenever I post a topic in this board, I want what I posted in it to appear on the homepage. I, unfortunately, have been trying effortlessly and nothing has worked.

I don't want to move the category to the homepage. I just want whatever I post into this forum board to appear on the home page. As you can see, I want the topics posted in the announcement board on the forum to appear on the homepage below the video.

I've tried going to tinyportal> settings and fontpage> frontpage and adjusting so that whatever's posted in the annoucement board will appear on the homepage, but it's not working.

Greetings Nonpareil,

Welcome to the Tinyportal Support Site.

Did you have Simpleportal installed before you installed Tinyportal? If so, did you uninstall Simpleportal before installing Tinyportal? The reason I ask is because that mod is not listed on your mod list. The only reason I can think of for that is that you deleted it without uninstalling it first. See the image attached below. You can plainly see that both Simpleportal and Tinyportal are listed in the footer. My guess is that a conflict between the two mods is keeping Tinyportal from working properly.

Could you attach a screenshot of the bottom of the Tinyportal Frontpage settings where it says "Display forum-posts on frontpage from:" with your next post.

Hey ZarPrime,

I did have Simpleportal installed before Tinyportal. I uninstalled simpleportal and it broke my website and I did a backup. When I finished the back up, Simpleportal was listed as install/delete instead of uninstall, so I went ahead and deleted it. Then I installed Tinyportal.

Here's the image that you requested.

The fact that simple portal is still listed in the footer means the uninstall didn't complete successfully.

Probably, with so many mods, another mod had modded something SP needed to unmod, and so SP could not correctly unmod it. And that broke your site.

Then you say you 'did a backup', but do you mean you restored a backup? If so, did that include files, database or both?

Easiest way would be just to download the SMF forum files again, replace all the old SMF files on your server, and then install tinyportal again through the package manager.
You have alot of other mods installed right now, so it would be a hard job going through all the fles manually and replace codelines to get it to work again.

Just keep your database fles as they are, replace the SMF files manually, install TP to the new files through SMF, and then install the other mods you need/have/want.

It will get you a clean SMF/TP package to work with again.
