Topic titles are layed out verticaly instead of horizontaly

Instead of the usual.

If I remove the blocks it looks fine, but the purpose of this portal is to have those blocks visible. Is there any solution to this.

Its no quick solution to it..themes are usually made such that it will use the whole width. The portal narrows it down, so things like topic titles get squashed by any buttons etc. Normally buttons are setup with nowrap="nowrap" and that will push the text. If you look in Display.template for any "nowrap", deleting those might help.
