Possible bug (Auto-link URLs)

I have recently noticed some URLs are no longer being autmatically linked.

www.simplemachines.org is not clickable on my site any longer, but http://www.simplemachines.org will automatically link as normal. Could this be a bug with TP 0.75, or is it a bug in 1.1B3.

Any ideas/solutions?

(I have made sure that the box is checked for "Automatically Link URLs")

I never knew that www.blahblah.com would even link lol. Don't really know what is going on I tend to type http:// before stuff anyway so I'm not bothered.

I know the problem exists, so I would use http:// first as well. However, I have 600 members that may not be very up to speed on this type of stuff. So I do need to try to find a fix.

It isn't something TP touches really...but maybe use of SSI can have a hand in it...you do mean on the frontpage, not in the forums right?

gerrymo

Both in forum posts and signatures. I don't use articles on the front page, I have made some static frontpage blocks for the first page. Thought it may have been a mod, but the only one added just before this started as Karma-Description but I have uninstalled it and the problem is still there.

The only SSI thing I use is to show the latest forum posts in a frontpage block. I'll try turning the block off or deleting it to see if that helps.

Even more strange..what version of SMF do you run now? 1.1beta3?

Might be something with that version..RC1 would perhaps solve it.

gerrymo

I'll need to check out the static page mod for compatibility, as do kind of need all those pages. But an upgrade may fix it. I did ask at SMF as well, but ne reply as yet.

gerrymo

OK. Made some progress. It is not auto-linking if the post begins with www. If there is text before the URL, it does work. But I cannot replicate the problem here, so I assume the upgrades of both SMF and TP solve the problem. I can live with it till I get round to doing them.
